About

Several weeks prior to the accident on “Suicide Hill” (see the ATV wreck video), I was perched in the same exact spot.  I was faced with the same dilemma.  It was too steep to back up and too steep to go down.  Unlike the riders in the video, I was solo.  It was raining, and it was getting dark.

I got off my ATV and tried to envision how to get down.  I decided to ease it down over the rocks without getting back on.

I only went about a foot or two, before I got to watch my 2009 Can Am Outlander XT 500 tumble end over end over end down the hill until it landed in a cedar tree.  It was a real life lesson.  I was lucky I wasn’t on my ATV.  I was foolish to ride alone.

next time I'll use Reversaroller to "winch" myself down

Damage to the tree my CanAm landed in.

Now I use the Reversaroller to solve the problem of forward descent and reverse winching.

Reversaroller enables me to use my front mounted winch to winch backward or lower myself down, “Forward Descent Winching.”
